Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard 64-Bit version

• 1 GB
• 1.4GHz AMD Opteron, AMD Athlon 64, Intel Xeon with Intel EM64T support, Intel Pentium IV with EM64T support (Recommended: 2GHz or higher)

Note: The recommended amount of RAM is 4 GB or more. A maximum of 32 GB RAM is allowed for 64-bit servers.

Minimum Hard Disk Space Requirements for Each Module

• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Module - Disk Space Needed
• Database Engine and data files, Replication, and Full-Text Search - 280 MB
• Analysis Services and data files - 90 MB
• Reporting Services and Report Manager - 120 MB
• Integration Services - 120 MB
• Client Components (other than SQL Server Books Online components and Integration Services tools) - 850 MB
• SQL Server Books Online - 240 MB

Note: A minimum of 6 GB of free hard drive space is required to install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard AE-10CAL Edition.

Minimum Software Requirements

• Internet Explorer 6 or a more recent version is needed for Microsoft Management Console (MMC), SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), the Report Designer component of Reporting Services, and HTML Help.
• Microsoft Windows Installer 4.5 or a later version.
• If you are installing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard AE-10CAL Edition on a server with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (64-bit) IA64, .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 is required.
• SQL Server Setup installs these required software components:
• .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
• SQL Server Native Client
• SQL Server Setup support files

Note:During the installation of .NET Framework, the operating system must be restarted. If your Windows Installer installation needs to restart as well, SQL Server Setup not restart until Windows Installer and .NET Framework components are installed.
